At Boston College, David served as Low Brass Instructor (with an average section size of about 50 students) from 2007-2012. Students ranged from advanced instrumentalists to beginners who had never touched a brass instrument, so instruction covered all topics (including, but not limited to): posture, breathing, tone, projection, blend, balance, articulation, intonation, phrasing, and style, as well as instrument maintenance and marching technique.
Also at Boston College, David has served as Guest Artist/Conductor of the Symphonic Band, Private Lesson Instructor, Jazz Sectional Instructor, and Substitute Pep Band Director.
Outside of Boston College, David has taught private trombone lessons to students at both the college and high school level. He has also adjudicated for Festivals of Music/Music in the Parks.
